Terms of Use and Safety Notice

Take Me Home Terms of Use and Safety Notice
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
These Terms of Use and Safety Notice (“Terms”) govern use of the Take Me Home mobile application (“Take Me Home” or the “App”), provided by Small Business Resource Center Online, Inc. dba Harmony Senior Housing (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read these Terms carefully.
By accepting these Terms and using Take Me Home, you acknowledge that you have read and understood them and agree to use the App subject to these Terms.
1. Purpose of Take Me Home
Take Me Home is a free public-service navigation and assistance utility designed to make it easier for a user to initiate navigation, locate certain nearby destinations, contact people selected by the user, save a parking location, initiate a telephone call, or hand a request to another application or service.
Take Me Home generally does not provide turn-by-turn navigation itself. Instead, it may hand a requested destination or action to another application or service selected by the user.
2. TAKE ME HOME IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE
Take Me Home is not an emergency response, monitoring, dispatch, medical, law-enforcement, rescue, security, or 911 service.
Take Me Home does not monitor users or their trips.
Take Me Home does not continuously monitor a user's location.
Take Me Home does not guarantee that another person knows where you are or where you are going.
If you are experiencing an emergency, use appropriate emergency services available in your location.
Do not rely upon Take Me Home as your sole method of obtaining emergency assistance.
3. Call 911 Feature
Take Me Home may provide a button that allows a user to initiate a telephone call to 911 using the user's device.
Before initiating that action, Take Me Home may require the user to confirm that the user intends to initiate a 911 call.
The Call 911 feature is provided solely as a convenience.
Take Me Home:
· Does not operate 911;
· Is not a Public Safety Answering Point or emergency-dispatch center;
· Does not dispatch police, fire, ambulance, medical, or rescue services;
· Does not monitor the resulting telephone call;
· Does not independently transmit an emergency report to 911 on the user's behalf;
· Does not guarantee that the user's location will be transmitted to emergency services; and
· Cannot guarantee that the user's telephone, cellular connection, location services, 911 system, or emergency services will be available or function correctly.
The user remains responsible for communicating the nature and location of an emergency to the appropriate emergency service.
4. Navigation and Nearby Locations
Take Me Home may help users initiate navigation or searches for destinations such as Home, emergency rooms, police stations, VA medical facilities, pharmacies, grocery stores, gas stations, urgent care facilities, restaurants, saved locations, parking locations, or other enabled destinations.
Search results, maps, directions, destination information, travel times, operating hours, road conditions, and other navigation information may be provided by third-party services.
Take Me Home cannot guarantee that a location identified by a third-party service is:
· The closest location;
· The correct type of facility;
· Open;
· Available;
· Appropriate for the user's needs;
· Safe or accessible;
· Correctly located;
· Properly staffed; or
· Able to provide a particular service.
Users must use their own judgment and should verify important information when circumstances require it.
5. Location Accuracy
GPS, cellular positioning, Wi-Fi positioning, maps, addresses, and other location technologies can be inaccurate, unavailable, delayed, or affected by environmental or technical conditions.
Take Me Home does not guarantee the accuracy of a user's location, a parking pin, a destination, a map link, or navigation instructions.
Always pay attention to actual road signs, traffic conditions, surroundings, laws, warnings, and instructions from appropriate authorities.
Do not interact with the App in a manner that distracts you while driving or otherwise creates an unsafe condition.
6. Trusted People
Take Me Home allows a user to identify people as Trusted People.
Before confirming someone as a Trusted Person, the profile creator is responsible for verifying that:
· The person's name is correct;
· The telephone number is correct;
· The person has agreed to be identified as a Trusted Person; and
· The person has given permission to receive communications initiated through Take Me Home.
Take Me Home does not independently verify a Trusted Person's identity, telephone number, availability, willingness to assist, or receipt of a message.
Sending a message does not guarantee that the Trusted Person receives, reads, understands, or responds to the message.
A Trusted Person is not an emergency-response service.
7. Text Messages, Calls, Email, Data and Other Charges
Take Me Home may open or use applications and services available on the user's device to initiate texting, calling, navigation, email, ride-service requests, or other actions.
Standard messaging, email, cellular, data, third-party application, transportation, and other service charges may apply and are the user's responsibility.
Take Me Home and Harmony Senior Housing are not responsible for charges imposed by a wireless carrier, internet provider, ride service, application provider, transportation provider, or other third party.
8. Third-Party Applications and Services
Take Me Home may interact with or hand information to third-party applications or services selected by the user, which may include Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Uber, Lyft, telephone services, SMS/text messaging applications, and other device services.
Third-party services are independent of Take Me Home.
Their availability, accuracy, privacy practices, terms, charges, eligibility requirements, and operation are controlled by those third parties.
Use of a third-party service is subject to that service's own terms and policies.
We do not guarantee continued compatibility with any particular third-party application or service.
9. Parking Location
The Find My Car/Parking feature relies upon a parking location intentionally saved by the user and the location information available from the user's device.
Take Me Home does not silently or continuously detect where a vehicle is parked.
A saved parking location may be inaccurate.
The user remains responsible for confirming where the vehicle was parked and for using appropriate judgment when returning to the vehicle.
10. Local Profile and Privacy
Take Me Home Version 1 uses a local profile rather than a Take Me Home server-based user account.
Profile information, settings, Trusted People, saved locations, and Profile Change History are generally stored on the user's device as described in the Take Me Home Privacy Policy.
Take Me Home does not provide its own cloud profile synchronization or guaranteed backup service.
A device's operating system or backup provider may independently back up or restore application information.
If information is not restored after a device is lost, replaced, reset, or damaged, the user may need to create a new Take Me Home profile.
11. Profile Change History
Take Me Home may maintain a Profile Change History on the user's device.
This history is intended to provide a record of profile and settings changes.
It is not a location, trip, or activity-tracking system.
Profile Change History cannot be independently cleared using Take Me Home. It is deleted when the user chooses to erase the entire Take Me Home profile and app data.
12. Erasing Your Profile and App Data
Take Me Home provides an Erase My Profile & App Data function.
Using this function is intended to remove locally stored Take Me Home profile information and associated local App data, including Profile Change History.
Once erased, information may not be recoverable through Take Me Home.
Take Me Home does not maintain a server copy of the user's profile from which we can restore it.
Information independently retained in device backups or by third-party applications and services is controlled by those systems and is not necessarily deleted by Take Me Home's local erase function.
13. Children and Families
Take Me Home is a general-audience navigation and safety utility and is not specifically designed or marketed as a children's application.
Take Me Home is not a social-media service and does not provide public profiles, social feeds, public chat rooms, or a Take Me Home system for communicating with strangers.
Parents and guardians are responsible for determining whether Take Me Home is appropriate for a minor in their care and for supervising the minor's use of the App.
We recommend that a parent or guardian assist a minor with setup, including the Home address, Trusted People, saved locations, navigation settings, and other safety-related settings.
14. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
· Entering accurate information;
· Keeping saved addresses and telephone numbers current;
· Confirming Trusted People information and permission;
· Maintaining reasonable security for your device;
· Reviewing settings after changing or restoring a device;
· Determining whether a destination or service is appropriate;
· Following applicable laws and safety requirements; and
· Using reasonable judgment when relying upon navigation, location, communication, or third-party services.
15. Availability and Technical Limitations
Take Me Home is provided using mobile-device hardware, operating systems, GPS/location services, cellular networks, internet connectivity, and third-party applications and services that may be outside our control.
Features may be delayed, interrupted, inaccurate, unavailable, changed, or discontinued.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
16. Donations
Take Me Home is provided free of charge and is not supported by paid advertising within the App.
Users may be offered an optional opportunity to donate to support Harmony Senior Housing through an approved donation service such as PayPal Giving Fund.
A donation is voluntary and is not required to use Take Me Home.
Making or declining to make a donation does not change the functionality or level of service provided by Take Me Home.
Any tax treatment of a donation depends upon applicable law and the circumstances of the donor. Donors should retain appropriate documentation and consult a tax professional when necessary.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TAKE ME HOME IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE THAT TAKE ME HOME, LOCATION INFORMATION, MAP INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION FUNCTIONS, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR OTHER FEATURES WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER ONLINE, INC. DBA HARMONY SENIOR HOUSING, AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF, INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE UPON TAKE ME HOME OR A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
19. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that navigation, travel, location technologies, communications, third-party services, and emergency situations involve risks that cannot be eliminated by a mobile application.
You agree to exercise reasonable judgment and assume the ordinary risks associated with your voluntary use of Take Me Home, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. Changes to Take Me Home or These Terms
We may update Take Me Home and these Terms as the App develops, third-party services change, or legal or operational requirements change.
The effective date identifies the current Terms.
When we make a material change requiring renewed acceptance, Take Me Home may require you to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use applicable features.
The App may store the version of the Terms accepted and the date/time of acceptance locally on your device.
21. Governing Law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
