Take Me Home is a free mobile app designed to help people quickly get where they need to go with less confusion and fewer steps.

With one tap, users can open directions to Home, find a nearby Emergency Room, locate a Police Station, call 911, find their parked car, contact trusted people, and open other saved or nearby destinations.

Take Me Home is being provided at no cost by Small Business Resource Center Online, Inc. dba Harmony Senior Housing, a nonprofit organization.

Simple Help When You Need It

Take Me Home was designed to be easy to use.

Instead of searching through multiple apps, typing addresses, or trying to remember where to go, users can set up their important destinations and trusted people ahead of time.

When they need help getting somewhere, they simply open Take Me Home and choose where they want to go.

The app can then open the user's preferred navigation service, including:

Waze Google Maps Apple Maps / Device Maps

The user remains in control and chooses which service to use.

What Take Me Home Can Do

Take Me Home can help users:

Go Home with one tap Find a nearby Emergency Room Find a nearby Police Station Call 911 from their phone Save and find their parking location Save up to 3 custom locations Save up to 3 Trusted People Text Trusted People with their current location Choose Waze, Google Maps, or Apple Maps Find nearby pharmacies, grocery stores, gas stations, urgent care, restaurants, and VA medical facilities Open Uber or Lyft when enabled Keep a local history of important profile and settings changes

Your Information Stays on Your Phone

Take Me Home was designed with privacy in mind.

Your profile, Home address, saved locations, Trusted People, settings, parking information, and Profile Change History are stored locally on your device.

Take Me Home does not maintain a server database of your profile information.

We do not continuously track your movement.

We do not keep a history of where you travel.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use behavioral advertising or behavioral analytics.

Information is only provided to another app or service when you choose an action that requires it, such as opening navigation, sending a text message, making a phone call, or requesting a ride.

Trusted People

Users can save up to three Trusted People.

Before confirming a Trusted Person, the user confirms that the person's name and phone number are correct and that the person has agreed to receive communications through Take Me Home.

When a user chooses to send a Trusted Person a message, Take Me Home can prepare a text using the user's phone.

A typical message may say:

“Peter is using the Take Me Home app and is trying to get to John's House, 1313 Mockingbird Lane., West Reading, PA 19611. Current location is pinned here: [map link].”

The message uses the user's own messaging service. Standard messaging, cellular, and data charges may apply.

Designed for Real-World Use

Take Me Home is not a social-media app.

There are no public profiles, public chat rooms, social feeds, or communication with strangers through a Take Me Home network.

The app is designed as a simple navigation and assistance tool.

Parents and guardians may also determine whether the app is appropriate for a minor in their care and can assist with setup.

No Paid Advertising

Take Me Home is provided free of charge.

There are no paid advertisements inside the app.

Users may be given an optional opportunity to support Harmony Senior Housing through a donation, but donating is never required to use the app.

Important Safety Information

Take Me Home is not an emergency response, monitoring, medical, police, rescue, or 911 service.

The app can help initiate a 911 telephone call from the user's own phone, but Take Me Home does not operate 911, dispatch emergency services, monitor calls, or guarantee that cellular service, GPS, navigation, or emergency services will always be available.

Users should always use reasonable judgment and contact appropriate emergency services when necessary.
